After successful completion of the first ever film making workshop in Mumbai in May 2011, NYFA announces its next workshops in Film making and Acting for Film, commencing this November (14 November to 10 December 2011.)

IT's a 4 week workshop on Filmmaking and a 4 week Acting for Film workshop.

The workshops will be held at Don Bosco Center for Learning at Kurla (West), Mumbai.
All faculty and equipment from NYFA, USA.

New York Film Academy is one of the leading film schools of the world. The school conducts workshops in U.K., France, South Korea, Japan, China, Nigeria and Iitaly and had conducted its first ever Filmmaking workshop in India in May 2011.

The fees for the workshops is in two parts :-
1) Registration Fee of Rs 20,000 (plus 10.3% Service Tax).
2) Course Fee of USD 3650 (to be wire transferred directly to New York Film Academy).

What do students learn in the workshop!


In the film making workshop, students learn not only how to operate a camera, light a scene, or edit film, but they also learn how all the aspects of filmmaking relate to, interact with, and depend upon each other.


Designed equally for beginning actors as well as those with experience, the acting workshop provides actors with modern on-camera acting techniques. The comprehensive curriculum covers an extensive amount of material in a relatively short time.

GETTING A DIPLOMA FROM NYFA WITHOUT GOING TO NEW YORK


THE WORKSHOP

Yellow Submarine Film Pvt Ltd will host the New York Film Academy in India to hold their filmmaking workshop in Mumbai. The workshop will be held at Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School, Santacruz, Mumbai. Podar's rich experience and expertise of over seventy-five years have translated into valuable insights and pedagogical skills. It is one of the finest schools in India. The School boasts of state-of-the-art facilities designed to cater to the wide range of interests and learning needs. The workshop will be conducted in English.

DAILY SCHEDULE

The workshop is full-time, with classes or shooting organized nearly every day of the week. The schedules are rigorous; however, students will have the opportunity to explore Mumbai.

EQUIPMENT

Students in the Filmmaking Workshops shoot HD camera. All students edit digitally using Final Cut Pro on Macintosh computers. The equipment our Film Academy students use is comparable to that of the leading degree programs in the United States. All camera and equipment will be made available to the students from NYFA.

INSTRUCTORS

Our eclectic faculty is comprised of experienced instructors and professional filmmakers who have Master of Fine Arts degrees from the most prestigious film programs in the United States. These include New York University, Columbia University, the University of Southern California, and UCLA.

FINAL SCREENING & PORTFOLIO

At the conclusion of the filmmaking workshop, a screening of the students' final films is held. This provides a unique opportunity for family, friends, and cast to see the work students have produced. Students retain the 16mm originals and a digital master tape of their work to include in their portfolios. Each student, upon successful completion of the program, receives a diploma.
